WHO ARE WE?

George Hill Limited (registered number: 259441) is an independent Wine Merchant based in Loughborough, Leicestershire, supplying wines, spirits and other foods and beverages to the retail and wholesale trade.

WHAT IS THIS PRIVACY NOTICE FOR?

This notice is intended to provide information about how we will use personal data about individuals including customers, prospective customers and staff.

INFORMATION COLLECTION

We collect information you provide to us when you buy something from us, ask to join our mailing list or otherwise interact with us.  This information may include your name, company, address, telephone number, email address, payment information and bank details.  If you attend any of our events, this may also include photographs.

If you visit our premises you will also be videoed by our CCTV system.

With exception to website cookies, we do not collect any information from you when you visit our website or webshop unless you place an order with us, send us an enquiry or ask to join our mailing list.

We will use the information you have given us in the following ways according to the relevant lawful basis:

For accounting purposes (contract)

COOKIES

HOW LONG DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION?

We will keep your information only as long as is required to carry out the action(s) required relating to the reason you gave us the information.

We will determine this length of time based on the minimum retention periods required by law or regulation.

When we dispose of your information we will do so in a safe and secure manner so that the data cannot be recovered.

CCTV footage is held for 7 days from the date of recording unless there has been an incident on the premises that necessitates it to be kept for longer, for example if there has been a theft and we need to keep evidence for the Police or insurance company.

DATA ACCURACY & SECURITY

We will endeavour to ensure that all personal data held in relation to an individual is as up to date and accurate as possible.  Individuals must please notify us at George Hill Limited of any significant changes to important information such as contact details.

The security of your information is important to us and we use appropriate technical and organisational security measures to protect your information from misuse, unauthorised or unlawful access or disclosure, loss, alteration, damage or destruction.

REQUESTING ACCESS TO YOUR PERSONAL DATA

Under data protection legislation, you have the right to request access to information about you that we hold. To make a request for your personal information, put the request in writing addressing it to Mrs Gillian Leeson, at: gillianl@georgehill.co.uk.

If we do hold information about you, we will:
