The 2010 released Amarone finish from Arran. This has a similar style to the brilliant Sassicaia finish. Amarone is a dry Italian red wine made using partially dried Corvina grapes, Rondinella grapes and Molinara. A burnished copper appearance and nose of poached pears with a touch of cranberry and honey. There is a sweetness on the palate with nuances of honey, pears, turkish delight, cherries and dark chocolate. Satisfying and memorable.
