72% Merlot, 21% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Cabernet Franc, 50% of which was aged in barrels (2% new oak) and the remaining 50% was left in stainless steel to help retain the fruit. Chapelle de Pontesac is the second wine of Chateau Pontesac, a leading name in Cru Bourgeois Bordeaux. Medium bodied wine for early drinking. Lovely perfumed ripe black fruit, gentle tannins and a fresh finish. A touch of spicy oak.
