Some time around 1840, the Chartreuse formula was adapted by Brother Bruno Jacquet to produce this lighter, sweeter and more approachable yellow version of the classic green elixir. Aroma: mocha coffee and dark chocolate with angelica, spruce needles, peppermint, aniseed and tarragon. Taste: mellow, honeyed sweetness and minty freshness with rootyness, zesty citrus and pine needles. Finish: incredibly fresh breath finish. Peppermint, spearmint, mocha coffee, lime zest, gentian, anise and cracked black pepper.
