100% Chardonnay with the addition of a tiny percentage of Vin Jaune during the dosage. The Château is part of the Fruitiere Vinicole Arbois, established in 1906 and claiming to be the oldest co-operative in France. Enticing aromas of butterscotch and shortbread mingle with lighter traces of lemon posset and vanilla panna cotta. There's a weight that speaks of beeswax and a touch of lanolin, and an exotic, spicy pinch of cinnamon. Brioche and honeyed almonds join the party on the palate, making for a luxurious mouthfeel and attractive weight. The finish is persistent and increasingly complex. Perfect with hors d’œuvres and desserts.
