Wooden Gift box containing 6 bottles of 2014 Tour de By. 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot, 5% Petit Verdot A favourite estate which always makes a very correct wine with supple blackcurrant fruit and well-balanced oak. Chateau La Tour de By was purchased in 1965 by the Pages, Lapalue and Cailloux families. Eventually the estate became the sole property of the Pages family when Marc Pages bought the estate outright in 1999. The estate is now run by Marc Pages grandson Frédéric Leclerc who joined the business in 2005 and his cousin Benjamin Richer de Forges who joined in 2009. Chateau La Tour de By has a good dark, ruby red colour. The nose has aromas blueberry and blackberry with hints of vanilla and oak. The palate is dense and concentrated, fresh but with a firm tannin structure with flavours of blackberry, cassis, dried plums and a hint of spice. Good length. Medium bodied. Perfect with beef casserole.
