Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot blend. Michael Regaud with his father Jean Pierre makes a range of white and red wines in this picturesque part to the south of Bordeaux. The wines are vinified in a new winery complex at Le Puy, the majority of reds being unoaked and bottled after 18 months maturation. A smaller quantity is oak matured to make a reserve style. Deep red with garnet hues. Ripe nose of redcurrant and blackcurrant. This wine is smooth with soft tannins and lasting flavours of red fruits. Long and pleasant fruity length on the palate. Pairs beautifully with beef wellington.
