80% Niellucciu, 10% Syrah, 10% Sciaccarellu Clos Venturi sits at the very edge of the winemaking zone, up in the foothills where the winter temperatures drop as low as -10°C at night. This unique positioning coupled with biodynamic vineyard practices and some careful winemaking results in astonishingly good wine. Harmonious and showcasing the distinct terroir of the Corsican landscape, these wines display a purity of fruit, and saline freshness that trumpets their origins. The aromas are rich and spicy with notes of red and black berry fruits layered over hints of chocolate, brown spice, green pepper and light toasted oak. The palate is robust yet elegant with silky tannins and flavours of black cherries and coffee married with a seductive herbal note and some spice. Perfect with salmon in a sauce, steak fiorentina, game or with Mediterranean dishes. Suitable for vegetarians and vegans.
