Cockspur rum was founded by Valdemar Hanschell in 1884. He was of Danish descent and came to Barbados via the Virgin Islands where he had worked for several years in the ship brokerage business.
This Bajan rum features a blend of spirit aged in bourbon casks and Spanish Oloroso sherry casks, selected by the master blender.

Nose: Ground cinnamon and clove then orange peel, sweet vanilla and a juicy hint of tropical fruit.

Palate: A dark and rich palate begins with golden syrup, dried fruit and charred oak, then orange chocolate and cassia bark.

Finish: Marmalade with a touch of nutmeg underneath.
