Drambuie, a herbal Scotch whisky-based liqueur, traces its origins back to James Edward Stuart (better known as Bonnie Prince Charlie) and the liqueur is said to be based on the Prince’s own personal elixir.

Aroma: honeyed whisky with complex herbal and spice aromas, particularly saffron.

Taste: silky, velvety smooth with a lightly malty whisky bite. Flavours of zesty orange, clove, honey, vanilla, linseed, fennel seed, angelica, toasted almonds, fruitcake and raisin.

Finish: long rich honeyed finish with saffron and Scotch maltiness.
