35% Tinta Barroca, 35% Tinta Roriz, 15% Touriga Franca, 13% Touriga Nacional, 1% Tinta Cao, 1% Tinta Amarela, with an average age of around 4 years. Pale brick red in colour. On the nose, aromas of mellow red fruits are married with notes of baking spice and roasted nuts. On the palate, smooth tannins create a velvety mouthfeel and a vibrant acidity balances the sweetness and carries the flavours onto the elegant finish. Perfect with a large variety of caramel or coffee desserts as well as apple pie and traditional creams. It also pairs well with strong or blue cheeses (eg Roquefort). Alternatively you can serve it chilled with nuts.
