A beautiful expression of North British Distillery in Lowlands, bottled by Mossburn independent bottlers in their Vintage Casks Series.

This single grain whisky was distilled in 2008 and then matured in refill whisky hogsheads for 12 years, before a 3 years long finish in heavily charred virgin Oloroso hogsheads.

Nose – Light cereal wrapped in coffee and cacao sherry aromas with some molasses, raisins and figs adding to an edge of pipe tobacco.

Palate – Rich sherry opening, with walnuts and hazelnuts. Light peppery notes lead to a slightly dry bittersweet finish that carries more cacao, prune and fig.
