69% Zinfandel, 23% Petite Sirah, 6% Carignan, 2% Mataro (aka Mourvedre) The first zinfandel was made in 1964, from a small nineteenth-century vineyard on Monte Bello ridge. Since this time, Ridge has championed single-vineyard winemaking, searching California for those rare vineyards where climate, soil, and varietal are ideally matched. Complex aromas of vanilla, raspberry and black pepper. Full bodied with firm acidity, focused blackberry fruit and an elegant lingering finish. Suitable for vegetarians and vegans.
