100% Petite Sirah

The oldest petite Sirah vines in the Lytton Estate were planted in 1901 and the youngest in 2008. Ridge vineyards started making their own wine in 1972 and until 2002 when they bottled portions of petite sirah as a single varietal, it had always been included in the Lytton Springs Zinfandel. In 2003 they made another limited release and in 2009 their first national release.

Opaque purple in colour, smoky and mineral on the nose. Well coated tannins integrated on the palate with blackcurrants and plum fruit. The finish shows notes of eucalyptus and mint.
