100% Syrah, aged in French oak for 16 months

Chris Williams is winemaker at the famous Meerlust winery. As a part-time business he runs his own boutique label ‘The Foundry’, leasing vineyards of Grenache Blanc, Viognier and Syrah.

The Foundry Syrah is deep, opaque bright purple-ruby in colour.
The enticingly perfumed bouquet is exotic with hints of wild herbs, violets, plum fruit and has a pronounced savoury and spicy character. The palate is intense and rich with generous ripe fruit and structured, silky tannins. There is a delicious, lingering, fruit and spice aftertaste.

Pairs well with lamb chops.
