Benedictine is based on brandy and neutral spirit and flavoured with 56 different herbs and spices with saffron to give the amber hue. These herbs are used in four different preparations.

Aroma: fresh citrus peel, cardamom, cedar wood, nutmeg, sage and mace.

Taste: silky, honeyed, lightly spiced with saffron, ginger, cardamom, cloves and citrus zestiness.

Finish: warming notes of mocha coffee, fudge, vanilla and pine sap emerge and last through the zesty, saffron and gingerbread finish.
